My cat took to it almost immediately. I've felt so bad since we moved in to our new place that the window sill was too narrow for him to easily sit and look outside, and this is the perfect solution. He doesn't quite feel comfortable laying down on it yet, but there's enough room for him if he wanted to. The brace fitting was my only option since I'm a renter and didn't want to risk using the adhesive and lifting the paint whenever I move out. I was worried it wouldn't fit but contacted the shop owner who assured me it would and we could make any adjustments if not.
